About Us

18 months ago, I decided to try making some handmade candles for my mom. I drove to the local craft store and purchased a 1-lb bag of wax and some small bottles of essential oils. I can still remember the fragrance of the first candle I ever made (lemon & lavender, her favorite). I quickly caught the 'candle fever' and began experimenting with the wax.
Rather quickly, my 'hobby' had turned into a full-time job and I was making handmade soy candles for my customers in Nashville, TN.  I added wax melts to our website, and the response was overwhelming. Realizing that wax tarts were becoming more and more popular while staying relatively mediocre-looking, I decided to get in touch with my creative side. I spent months researching scent formulas, experimenting with new wax blends, and even took an online course for chocolatiers to learn new techniques. After months of research, wax burns, and extreme caffeination:

Waxpops was born.

We're constantly looking for ways to improve, and we intend on keeping a close relationship with our customers. If there's ever anything that you would like to see from us, please let us know here
Each waxpop is melted, mixed, poured, and painted by hand in Nashville, TN. We happily ship our products anywhere in the USA.

Besides making Waxpops for you fine people, here are some things you can find me doing in my (rare) free time:

  • Playing with our rescue puppy, Murphy
  • Adding new pieces to our coffee mug collection
  • Drinking La Croix water
  • Watching any movie with Tom Hanks  <3
  • Telling myself that I'll start exercising
